Transport Research Arena

TRA combines a 4-day conference programme with an exhibition, live demonstrations, networking events and award ceremonies

TRA 2018 is an arena for researchers, companies and public authorities active in the field of transport. It welcomes policy makers and stakeholders framing research and transport policy, to share and discuss new ideas, research results, technological solutions and new business models. Together they will experience and shape the future of transport and mobility for people and goods.

Key focus areas will be:

• how digitalisation is transforming transport & mobility systems
• decarbonisation & future growth – how to change our mobility system & remain competitive
• shaping the new mobility landscape – a vision for transport & mobility for Europe.

The TRA 2018 programme includes a range of different session formats that will offer ample opportunity to share information on recent findings and to discuss the aforementioned challenges and opportunities.

Our Clemente Fuggini, as representative of the European Construction Technology Platform – ECTP has been appointed as member of the TRA2018 Management Committee (the full list of members can be found here).

Moreover Clemente Fuggini will be chairing 2 Scientific / Technical Sessions (ST) on April 18, 2018:

• ST36: 7.7 New Materials, Constructions & Techniques for Infrastructure (more info here)
• ST42: 7.3 Transport Infrastructure: Asset Management and Life Cycle Analysis (more info here)

as well as he is among the organizers of the Strategic Session STR3.3: Infrastructure and Decarbonised Transport (more info here).

Donato Zangani will be Panelist in a Strategic Session on April 19, 2018: STR4.1: Enabling and Implementing Research and Innovation Strategies (more info here).

Finally Clemente Fuggini, Simone Genta, Manuele Barbieri, Paolo Basso and Ivan Tesfai contributed to 4 full paper articles to be presented as podium presentations and/or as poster during the conference. The proceedings of the full papers will be available soon after the conference and printed in the Proceedings of 7th Transport Research Arena TRA 2018, April 16-19, 2018, Vienna, Austria.
