Behavioural Competence Assessment & Verification system is a simple and flexible tool for the assessment of soft-skill competence. The system can be adopted by shipping companies and incorporated into their existing assessment or appraisal systems. If the BCAC system is properly adopted can be a tool in promotion and recruitment processes. Through a full implementation of this system, companies will improve behaviours and reduce the number of incidents onboard. An overview and understanding of the OCIMF / INTERTANKO Behavioural Competence Assessment & Verification requirements is provided and practical case studies are being carried out.

This online (live) course aims to provide knowledge about the preparation, conduct and report of a behavioural assessment based on theoretical and practical training course developed in accordance with the IMO Model Course 1.30.

Participants will have an overview and understanding of the OCIMF / INTERTANKO Behavioural Competence Assessment & Verification requirements and solid comprehension of the values and characteristics of each competence, learn how to observe, assess and verify it. This 2-days course will deal with the preparation and implementation of the behavioural assessment procedure.

The Assessors’ Course deals with the requirements of the behavioural assessment, how to perform it and maintain effective records.
