Computer-aided engineering (CAE) is the use of computer software to make high- fidelity simulation of the performances of a system to improve product designs or assist in the resolution of engineering problems.
High-tech engineering fields involve manufacturing requirements where the control of tolerance margins as well as the verification of manufactured components are extremely important.
This scenario comes with two critical issues:
CAEUp is a cloud tool able to perform customized numerical simulations considered crucial for the component quality check (for example, structural analyses on mechanical performances).
The working process is quite simple: on one side there is the nominal model, which is the one used to design the component; on the other side is a digital twin, a model given by a real-time scan of the actual manufactured part.
In this way it is possible to verify the tolerances of every single component with extreme accuracy and in real time.
CAEup represents a functional bridge that connects the world of design with the world of prototyping and production.
