One of the key factors of an Organisation's reputation is its capacity to go about its business in a loyal, correct, transparent, honest manner, as well as with integrity, in compliance with laws, regulations, international standards and both national and foreign guidelines, that are applicable to the Organisation's business.
The ISO 37001 “Anti-bribery management systems” standard is intended to help organisations in their fight against corruption, creating an ethos of integrity, transparency, and conformity. Even though this standard cannot guarantee eradication of bribery, it can provide assistance in implementing effective measures for preventing it and dealing with it.
Main benefitsThe Anti-Bribery Management System can be a stand-alone system or it can be integrated with an all-round management system.
In fact, the Organisation can choose to implement its Anti-Bribery Management System along with or as part of its other management systems, such as those for quality, the environment and safety.
Specifically, as regards Organisations subject to Italian law, can be part of the "Organisation and Management Model" adopted in accordance with Legislative Decree 231/2001.

Are companies with certification according to the ISO 37001:2016 standard definitely free of corruption?
Certification by an independent third party does not certify the absence of acts of bribery on the part of the Organisation, but ensures that, as part of its management system, the Organisation has applied the requirements laid down in the ISO 37001:2016 standard that, if implemented correctly, make it possible to reduce the risk of acts of bribery being committed.
