How UNESCO values can add value and support the development of local communities

Adding value to the local community and make it more healthy, safe and inclusive; support the development of local economies; respond to the environmental and social needs of the community; generate positive impacts on production and consumption. These are the cornerstones of the commitment of companies and public administrations in pursuing the main sustainable development goals.

During the Forum, the participants will receive information and practical tools to better understand the roles and advantages of local actors in pursue of common sustainable development objectives, which effects are measured by the BES (Benessere Equo e Sostenibile – sustainable and equal wellness) index.

In addition, during the FORUM the organizers will launch the "BEZZO award", a recognition assigned to collective food services contractual specifications prepared according to the LICET® participated evaluation method. The award offers, on one hand, a way to valorise the contracts contributing to the improvement of the quality of the environment and citizens’ health and, on the other, inspire to start productions of goods that are safe and sustainable, following circular economy logic.

The event is organized by PLEF Foundation and AREGAI association, with AIQUAV association and both RINA Services and Agroqualità.
