Non destructive test operators certification
 Jointly with the services offered to metal and polyethylene welders, RINA has for decades also offered services for the qualification of Non destructive testing operators on metals and fittings.
The offer of certification services in this sector covers all the main national and international rules such as RINA, SNT TC 1A, API and EN (through partner laboratories).
In relation to non destructive testing in the civil sector, in particular on concrete structures, reinforced/prestressed concrete and masonry, investigative technology will assume more and more importance as in Italy most works are over 50 years old and thus it will be increasingly necessary to check their obsolescence and functionality in relation to their use and the stresses to which they are subject.
Recent Italian regulations concerning construction works (Testo unico delle Costruzioni, Ordinanza Sismica) envisage safety checks being carried out on existing buildings, making it mandatory for buildings in particular categories and favouring non destructive type tests.
Qualification of NDT operators in the civil field will therefore be a fundamental aspect of the process, according to the already consolidated practice in the industrial sector.
