MARINE SURVEYOR

Principal tasks:
- Inspection and testing of materials and components for certification, according to Class requirements, International conventions and contractual requirements as well as statutory and special service requirements;
- Carrying out surveys of vessels in service as well as surveillance on newbuildings and ships repairs, testing activity and certification of marine products and service suppliers;
- Prepare technically accurate and timely survey reports;
- Coordinating with RINA Head Office for type and components approval.


Education and Professional Qualifications:
* Degree in Marine Engineering or in Naval Architecture lor diploma in Marine Engineering;
* Previous professional experiences in Classification Societies would be a strong plus;
* At least 5 years experience at sea as Marine Engineer and/or 5 years experience in reapiring/building shipyards;
* Previous work experience in other IACS Classification Societies will be highly preferred.

Personal skills and abilities:
* Willing to travel frequently;
* Practical and theoretical knowledge of hull, machinery, materials, equipment and safety systems of ships;
* Fluent in English language, both spoken and written;
* IT literate in MS Office;
* Ability to work in team and on tight schedules;
* Ability to manage conflicts and negotiate.
