MAIN TYPES OF CAREERS WITH RINA
Surveyors : RINA surveyors, usually, are experienced marine engineers or naval architects, stationed in RINA branch offices in Italy and abroad, who intervene, as expert persons, to ascertain the compliance of ships, or other marine structures, with the requirements established by RINA itself or with laws and/or Conventions and/or Codes and/or various statutory requirements, either national or international, during and after construction. Surveyors either report the outcome of surveys they carried out, attesting the actual condition of the vessel, or issue/endorse certificates, provided they are authorised to do so by Administrations.
Engineers : RINA engineers are graduates in appropriate technical discipline, or experienced technicians who have appropriate competence, capability and capacity to perform technical evaluations and/or calculations pertaining to a variety of maritime subjects, for compliance with relevant rules and convention requirements pertaining to design, construction, equipment and safety of ships and other marine structures.
Auditors : RINA auditors are graduates, or experienced people who have appropriate competence, capability and capacity to perform assessments/audits pertaining either to management systems or to products and processes. They have an education sufficient to acquire knowledge and skills of auditing techniques and of the technological and organisational context in which the audits are being conducted. Their work experience is in a technical, managerial or professional position involving the exercise of judgement, problem solving, and communication with other interested parties.
Professional : Professional Staff encompass a broad range of careers, including finance, research, information management, marketing and human resources, that support organizational objectives and initiatives related to the supplied services, etc.
